What is Elderberry extract?
Deciduous trees or large shrubs, 4-10 meters high; young branches with longitudinal stripes, biennial branches yellow brown, with obviously raised round lenticels; medullary developed, white. Pinnate compound leaves have 1-3 pairs of leaflets, usually 2 pairs, with short petiole, oval or oval ovate shape, 4-10cm long, 2-3.5cm wide, tip or tail tip, sharp serrate edge, wedge-shaped or broad wedge at the base to blunt and round on both sides, and there is stench after being crushed. The base of midvein, petiole and leaf axis are all pubescent: stipules are leaflike or degenerated into glandular shape.
Elderberry Extract is derived from the fruit of the Sambucus nigra or Black Elder. As a part of a long tradition of herbal remedies and traditional folk medicines, the Black Elder tree is called "the medicine chest of the common people" and its flowers, berries, leaves, bark, and even roots have all been used for their healing properties for centuries.
